Potential bug with Manual Edit?

Whenever I use Manual Edit no existing album art is displayed even when I know for sure there is art saved to the tag and in the folder. Even when I add album art, save, and go back into Manual Edit no existing album art is shown.

Can you run Create Support Files please.

Also, in manual mode subfolders for Disc 1, Disc 2, etc is not picked up. In Fix, Rename, Match to One Album all the subfolders are picked up.

Support File uploaded.

I am looking at this now, and yes there does seem to be some inconsistency here.

Manual Edit currently only shows files in the selected folder, unless empty then it shows files in the first folder that has audio files only

I don’t want user to be able select there Musci folder and then have SongKong try to list all songs, but would be an improvement if the folder selected is an album folder for it to show all disc folders.

Thank you for the reply. One more odd behavior. If I go into Manual Edit, and make a change to the meta data (i.e. album name), after saving the embedded album art is removed.

I think what is happening (in some circumstances) is it cant see existing artwork so when you make changes and save back to file it saves no artwork replacing any existing artwork in the file.

I think the issue was introduced in 12.7 so the best solution for you is probably to go back to 12.6 until I get this fixed. On MacOS do as follows, and then it would be helpful for me to know if that resolves the issues for you.

  • Delete Applications/SongKong
  • Save ~Library/Preferences/.properties* to keep a copy of any modified settings
  • Delete ~Library/Preferences/SongKong
  • Delete ~Library/Application Support/SongKong
  • Download SongKong from https://www.jthink.net/songkong/downloads/build1200/songkong-osx.dmg?val=82
  • Reinstall SongKong
  • Re-enter License Details
  • Optionally copy over saved properties files and restart

This should now be fixed in new release
