I would find it helpful to have picklists for specific commonly fields, where I can either misspell the name, or to have consistency in tagging. In classical music, am thinking of things like Composer, Recording Location, Engineer, Album Artist. I’m sure others will have other requests. This was introduced in mp3tag about a year ago and I find this to be a useful feature.
Sorry I dont get the point of it, do you want to be able to manually create the list yourself or do you want a drop down that just shows all the values for your open files or something else?
Ideally, would like to see all the values for open files. However, creating the list myself would work equally well. The idea would be to get better consistency for tagging in Jaikoz (depending on the recording Chopin’s full name is spelled different ways) and items like recording location also have inconsistent spelling and reference. Sometimes Beethoven is von Beethoven, other times it is Van Beethoven, etc.
But this is only for manual editing, e.g for artists and composers such as your Beethoven example when matched to MusicBrainz if you select Use standard artist name instead of name displayed on the cover it should use the artists standard name as defined in MusicBrainz.
This would not help with Recording Locations but how often do you use the same one on different releases ?

I’m specifically referring to Jaikoz. Musicbrainz doesn’t have all my recordings nor is the match always great when there is one (especially box sets), so I often use Jaikoz for manual editing. I looking for ways to make manual editing easier and have consistency across all my files. Thought pick list might help.
