noob question

I’m a little bit confused
Is the program supposed to update the musicbrainz server also after I fix the tags and then save them so that the next person who looks up these tags can get more correct information?
I have been working about 8 hours a day on this putting in a lot of fields manually after using autocorrect, and it would be a shame if this hard work does not get into the main frame server. I understand i can rip cd’s into the music brainz site to update the server, but most all of my files are already in folders or downloaded from torrents. I would think that if I do all the work on Jaikoz that that info could then be uploaded to relevant sites - musicbrainz/discogs, etc. without having to input it all agian by hand. I am only at letter C in one folder and still have another 2TB to go.
Gonna take a few months to say the least.
I thought that having the settings test.musicbrainz.org with password mb was supposed to do this, or am i mistaken?
Also is there a way to open the jpeg Art files to “work on” or move once they are saved in metadata? I would like to be able to resize them or open them for printing, etc. Otherwise I really need to save the actual bmp, jpg files to the new tag folder also.

Thanks in advance - keep up the great work.

No, I have spoken to Musicbrainz about this but at the moment they prefer that most metadata data is entered manually, although I think this will change in the future. But there are some items you can submit to Musicbrainz from Jaikoz:

Action/Remote Correct/Submit Musicbrainz Puid/PairYou can submit your Musicbrainz Id/Acoustic Id Pairs, this links a Musicbrainz track to an acoustic id for a track where previously it might not exist.

Action/Remote Correct/Submit Musicbrainz Genres Submit genres in your track to the tracks and the releases they belong to in Musicbrainz

Action/Remote Correct/Submit to your Musicbrainz CollectionSubmit all your releases to your Musicbrainz Collection, once you have your releases loaded into Musicbrainz it is mush easier for you to monitor changes to your favourite artists and releases from within Musicbrainz, and fix the metdata within Musicbrainz.

Preferences/Musicbrainz/Match/Musicbrainz Server should be set http:musicbrainz.org if its set to test.musicbrainz.org you are pointing to an out of date copy of the server, that is just used for testing.

Not yet (its on the todo list) , for now you’ll have to load the Songs into another application to extract the artwork
