Add “Match each Album to one MusicBrainz Release”
Purpose: Makes it easier to correct because there no need to individually select songs.

Add “Standardize Genre”
Purpose: Will scan albums by the same artist and see which genre most often occurs, then fill all genre values with that.

I will not use Jaikoz to embed missing album art because Apple iTunes has superior quality and it can be embedded using scripts like http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.php?sp=embedart

That is what Correct Metadata from Musicbrainz does anyway, but it isnt always clear which songs constitue ‘an album’ , which is why I add the Match Songs to One Musicbrainz Release so you can tell Jaikoz exactly what songs you want to put into an album. This is especially useful when some of those songs have no metadata so Jaikoz would not have been able to guess that these should be matched with the other songs to one particular album.

Yes I see that could be useful, although I worry its dumbing down your genre a bit, I mean are all songs by one artist really the same genre ?

Jaikoz is not an iTunes specific app although it can update an Itunes library. I think the sensible way to go would be to run the script before using Jaikoz on the files, so that songs with iTunes artwork get the artwork embedded. Then use Jaikoz and it can just find artwork for songs that have no iTunes artwork.

Yes thanks :S

Any chance of adding an option so that the first artwork retrieved is embedded for the entire album instead of retrieving each song individually? Sometimes the covers differ by brightness etc.

Also the genre thing, well, I mean… sometimes the retrieved genre doesn’t make sense anyway I figured picking the one that was the most prominent would make it less prone to error.
