Music moving to folders when scanning

Still a novice at using this program so please bare with me

What I am trying to accomplish is to place a bunch of loose music files in a folder and have them renamed with the default mask. My problem is that when Song Kong scans and renames it, it also creates folders with the artist and album and moves the music into them. I just want all of it in one folder and not have to dig through subfolders.

I’m sure this is an easy fix but some guidance would be much appreciated.

Hi, so in your rename mask you just need a mask that doesn’t contain folders but only a file.

Go to File Naming tab
From the Rename Mask list pick a mask from the top of the list that doesnt contain a ‘/’ such as

AlbumArtistorArtist - Album - Track - Title
AlbumArtistorArtist - Title

these masks just create a filename
