Multi-Disk issue

I have a disk (Fleetworod Mac Rumours) that seems to have a problem being matched with the new MusicBrainz. It seems that this release with 2 disks is somehow consolidated in the new musicbrainz. I can’t find a release ID for the second disk. Also the second disk seems to have very similar titles to the first disk (outtakes) so the titles line up too well. In the prior versions I would just get the release ID of the second disk from musicbrainz and manually correct, etc. but I can’t seem to find a release ID for the second disk now.

The MBID (for disk one, anyway) is:

Any suggestions on how to match this?

I have the same two discs, However I don’t have the problem matching either disc. The release ID for the second disc is the same one as the first disc as they are from the same release. Jaikoz recognises the two discs and numbers them accordingly. As the CD don’t have a title and are just CD1 and CD2 then it is classed a one release.

If the CD has a title then these can be separated see example

Perhaps that is why I’m a bit confused. In the past both CDs had a release ID. No matter what. Now it seems that they don’t.
Also, the problem is that the second disk has song titles that are similar to the first disk (with an “(Outtakes)” bit on the end). It doesn’t match to that so it appears that it is always matching to the first disk and not the second. I can’t figure out a way to get it to match to the second one anymore.

I think I know what you mean. I sometimes use Picard which uses the disc id to match to the actual disc eg both discs will have different ids. If you haven’t used that there is an option called cd lookup

when you then run through jaikoz it should allocate the correct disc to the release

Yes Musicbrainz NGS now handles multiple disc releases properly rather than viewing each disc as a single release. This is one of many changes in NGS and I guess there will be a few problems until things settle down.

To fix this release in Jaikoz I would suggest the following.
In Jaikoz just list both cds, then use Match to Specified Musicbrainz Release and enter dc383c3a-03fb-4a24-8774-f5b6748b8d31, I would hope this would work.
