Hi there!
- Use embedded database when loading files instead of holding all metadata in memory, this should allow collections of any size to be loaded.
- Monitor changes to files, to allow quick loading of library without having to recheck every file.
- Add support for getting genres from last.fm
These would be my most expected features. I have a pretty big mp3 collection (about 30’000) and I can hardly load a group of more than 2000 at a time without experiencing problems with the soft. It does also take a very long time to save the changes made to the tags when loading such a large collection.
Furthermore to make such a big track collection usable, one needs to have them properly sorted by genre. Musicbrainz is pretty much incoherent between tracks of the same artists or even the same album on that matter. Therefore enjoying a consistent genre tagging from last.fm would really help when creating a browsable library in a media player. Problem might be though that last.fm has several genre entries for each artists, whereas only one for each artist would propably be easier to manage.
I hope you will be able to implement those features in the nearest future! Best regards
By the way: thanks for having made this amazing software. It is the very first one I use that does the work so well!
