I would need to match the MB Artist ID for many individual songs (not part of complete albums) is there a way to retrieve it automatically? (I repeat, only MB ARTIST ID of the song and no other information)

You need to match your songs to musicbrainz songs to add musicbrainz data. But in preferences:musicbrainz:remote format you can set so that all your general metadata is not updated, but you can’t prevent ID fields such as musicbrainz_release_id from being filled in
