A blog post about limiting filelengths, especially useful for Classical collections http://blog.jthink.net/2016/01/limiting-long-filenames-when-matching.html
Limiting long filenames when matching Classical releases
sounds great. but I have two questions
- You state that you do this in SongKong, does it also work in jaikoz?
- Can you use SongKong to do this while you are using jaikoz to organize info
- Can you use the same database SongKong use the same database as jaikoz?
Yes both applications let you define rename masks using same syntax, and both use the same databases (musicbrainz and discogs).
And you can use Jaikoz and SongKong together, the usual way to do this is use SongKong for automated matching and then Jaikoz for manual edit or difficult cases that need semi-automated matching.
