Recently I used a registered version of Jaikoz (originally 3.7.x, the latest still has this problem) to retag a lot of my music back to ID3 v2.3 because Android does not properly handle v2.4 and my phone is now my primary listening device.
Problem is, it’s mistagging some files, writing what appears to be a random single letter to each of the Name, Artist and Album fields, at least as far as iTunes is able to parse. The tags seem to be read correctly by the Android service which parses tags.
