Jaikoz changed "live" song- album names

I ran Jaikoz (also SK) and my album names changed to something that is obviously where the song was recorded, but it’s not the album.

Eg. Album-Under a Blood Red Sky, Song- I will Follow, changed to the following=

I Will Follow\t\t3:37\tU2\t1997-08-30: Landsdowne Road: Landsdowne Road, Dublin, Ireland\t\tRock\t\t1\t4.7 MB\t\t1/05/2015 10:46 am\t32 kbps

Now my iTunes albums are really messed up and incomplete, what options do I need to restore them (if possible), if not what do I need to do, to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

When you say album name do you mean filename ?
Would help if you could send me your support files.

Yes Paul, the whole filename has changed, on multiple files.

So the title is alright, just the filename is incorrect. Are you asking Jaikoz to rename files form metadata or not, and if you are have you checked your rename mask in preferences.

Yes the title is correct, the album name has changed though.

eg, from “Live 1975-1985” to

“1978-09-19: Pice de Rsistance: Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ, USA (Disc 1)”

So now I have multiple albums in iTunes, basically for each track that was recorded live.

I just noticed also, that the release status is ‘Bootleg’ although these are official release albums.

Okay I think I misunderstood you, so it has identify the song as a version of the song on a different album.

Generally it would only do this if you had songs from multiple albums in one folder with little existing metadata and/or you had changed the options so that it would match individuial songs if it could not match al songs to an album.

SongKong does have an Undo feature you can use - so try that, but Jaikoz does not. Its impossible for me to give you detailed instructions though without knowing the extent of the problem, which of the two tools caused the issue and your seeing your logs files.

Ok, i’ll try and ‘undo’ it.

I can always rip the cd’s again and leave out the live stuff in future from going through either app.

If you have the cds ripped one folder per album and you havent disabled Only allow match if all songs in grouping match to one album this problem should not occur in either application.
