Issues updating version 5 on Windows 7

Just noticed that in Control Panel/Uninstall I found Jaikoz 5.0.0, Jaikoz 5.0.1 and Jaikoz 5.1.1. Should I manually uninstall previous versions? Why did this happen?

It was only with Jaikoz 5.0 that Jaikoz was added to the Control Panel so there a re a few issues to iron out. Currently when you update Jaikoz you just do a new install over the previous install so the old install isn’t really uninstalled which is why it remains in the Control Panel, I’m unclear how to resolve this although it doesn’t do any harm.

Just chiming in on this one, my uninstaller shows I have 5.2, 5.3 and 5.4 in my system as well as 5.6.0 - all at a couple of hundred of mb each. Can the old ones be removed or are they overlaid as you said to Mike1961.
I’m still on XP 32bit.
Apologies in advance if this is an idiot question.

Hi, they are overlaid if you install to the default location.

If you really want to tidy things up, delete all the old versions and if Jaikoz no longer works ( but I think it should) then just reinstall the latest version. Your database and preferences should be unaffected as they are stored in a different location.
