Is Jaikoz Pro Right for me?

Hello,

As I understand that Jaikoz Pro supports automated tagging but I was hoping for some clarification from the gurus here?

I have a large amount of audio files and need to do the following with them -

Fix the ID3v1 / ID3v2 Files (some can be done from file/folder name some will need some other method) Album, Artist, Trackname, Track Number, Genre, Year etc
Add Album Art to every file.
Create Folder Structure eg Artist\Artist - Album\Track - Artist - Trackname.mp3 based on the ID3
Remove all other files in the folders .txt files
Remove all useless information from the ID3, comments etc
Create .pls for each Album
Automatically watch a folder for new folders and apply the above rules then move to a different folder, eg /Jaikoz-Complete

Any advise much appreciated!
P.

My comments as a simple end-user…

"Fix the ID3v1 / ID3v2 Files (some can be done from file/folder name some will need some other method) Album, Artist, Trackname, Track Number, Genre, Year etc "

  • yes

“Add Album Art to every file.”

  • yes

“Create Folder Structure eg Artist\Artist - Album\Track - Artist - Trackname.mp3 based on the ID3”

  • yes

“Remove all other files in the folders .txt files”

  • yes, in theory. While it does not remove non-media files, it does allow media files to be moved or copied to a new “clean” location.

“Remove all useless information from the ID3, comments etc”

  • yes

“Create .pls for each Album”

  • not sure

“Automatically watch a folder for new folders and apply the above rules then move to a different folder, eg /Jaikoz-Complete”

  • yes, you may even elect to have it move only the files that have been matched. It’s not fully automated or anything. The user must manually initiate the autocorrect process, but after that is done it can automatically correct, rename, save and move the media files.

Hi, to clarify a couple of points.

No, Jaikoz does not currently auto create playlists per folder, but that is due to be added. However you can export song details from Jaikoz as a spreadsheet, and possibly feed that into another tool for that purpose.

No, Jaikoz does not allow you to watch a new folder and fix songs as they are added to that folder, however our other product SongKong does allow you do that. Additionally SongKong automatically fixes songs in a similar way to Jaikoz but without any manual editing tools so looking at your requirements list the only ones it cannot do are:

Remove all useless information from the ID3, comments etc
Create .pls for each Album

Ah nice one thanks guys, time to have a play!
