Sorry for such a basic question. I didn’t want to assume, but I think this will work regardless of which player I use. Can someone please confirm?
I see iTunes being used in the videos, but I can find no mention of other players/databases and using SongKong with them.
I could find only one post in the SongKong questions that mentions MediaMonkey but it doesn’t explicitly answer my question.
No iTunes is not required.
We only mention iTunes because it uses its own library and therefore does not pick up changes made to files automatically, since it was so popular we added code in SongKong to do this.
Most music players do not have a separate library, and therefore pick up changes made to files automatically. Some tools do have to be prompted, usually by means of a Refresh All button
