Is ISRC info permanent?

Hi, I’m just trying out the program as I was after a program which would allow me to encode ISRC info in my tracks. Once I have input all the ID3 information and released a song, is this information (esp the ISRC info) forever embedded in the MP3 (or equivalent) or can it be deleted and replaced by someone else?

Apologies if this question is a bit dumb - I’m new to this world!

Hi it is embedded within the id3 tag within the file, but it can be modified by somebody else.
