Improved Support for Vinyl Conversions

My Vinyl conversion program gives me:

• a folder named after the artist
• within that: a folder named after the release
• within that: tracks named 01.mp3, 02.mp3, …

In Jaikoz I’d like to be able to:

• open the above release folder
• select an option “Correct based on release folder”
• based on the artist folder name and on the release folder name: be presented with a list of possible MB Release Ids
• Manually pick the best matching Release Id
• have Jaikoz tag and rename all track files based on the chosen Release ID and track number alone (deriving the track number from the given file name (01.mp3 etc))

In Jaikoz you can almost do this it just takes an extra stage.
Go to Preferences/File and Folder Correct/Correct Tags from Filename
and set the filename mask.

Then run Action/File and Folder Correct/Correct Tags from Filename
Then tags give beter info for updating from Musicbrainz.
But currently Correct Tags from Filename dosn’t work of the SUbfolder which is what you need, I will add support for this.

Your own idea has some merit we implemented as you specified then Musicbrainz can never take advantage of other information that would help it to get better matches such as track length, MusicIP Id …
