I’m aware SK lists items not matched to MusicBrainz, however wondering whether it’d be worth also reporting on individual contributors in a library that it could not match to an entity in MusicBrainz?
The benefit would be that it’d be easy for a user to then make work of adding those contributors to MusicBrainz, in turn benefitting SK.
What do you mean by individual contributors?
Any performer names that appear in artist, albumartist, composer or any other tags of that ilk.
Probably not, if the albumartist is not in MusicBrainz then their releases will not be either, so adding the missing releases will resolve that issue, similarly if an artist is missing from a various artist release then adding the various artist album will resolve that.
Performer tags are usually added by match to MusicBrainz in first place, most customers don’t have many performer tags before using SongKong.
Also, there is issue that if we could not match album we may not have matched the artist because of differences in spelling/aliases ectera but that doesn’t mean the artist is not actually in MusicBrainz.
