ID3V2 tag has an APIC frame, but the image couldn't be loaded.

Thats error message from MP3 diags.

ID3V2 tag has an APIC frame (which is used to store images), but the image couldn’t be loaded.

My problem is following. Some of my players VLC,Musicbee playing files well and display coverart too, but Audiostation2 from Synology ( NAS ) isnt able to display it, but audio plays.

It problem of Jaikoz, id3tags, or must contact Synology to corect their Audiostation ?

Im sure your aware there are compatability problems between different players and its impossible to save id3 tags in a way that everything is happy with, you have to make choices based on what you are using your songs with.

Just guessing that MP3 Diags expect tags to be unsynchronized (Preferences/Save/Compatibility/Do not Unsynchronize), try unchecking this and Forcing Save.

Try saving as v24/v23

Hi,

I was testing Synology Audio station (DSM 3.0-1337) and encountered same kind of problem.
It seems Audio station does not read properly artwort when pictures extension is JPEG or JPG.
I browsed Syno demo station, searching well displayed MP3 (found 01_06_Ice.mp3). I put it in Jaikoz and observed that extension looks mime type : image/jpg.

A quite little test :

  • Rename mypicture.jpeg to mypicture.image/jpg
  • Use Jaikoz to include artwort in mymp3.mp3
  • Play mymp3.mp3 in Audio station : => BINGO, it works.

My problem now : how to change my entire MP3 collection.
I think about posting Synology forum to ask to fix this issue.

Report bug to synology there http://www.synology.com/support/support_form.php?lang=enu , becuase every other player is able to display artwork
