howto ubuntu

Hi I have followed the insructions on the webpage how to install Jaikoz.

I? using ubuntu 10.04.

After installation everything seems alright but I dont have a desktop icon.

My java is :

java version “1.6.0_18”
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.8) (6b18-1.8-0ubuntu1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode)

Any help ?

I need to get about 600Gb with Flac music organized…

I would prefer to do it on my Mac but ofcourse Apple doesn support Ext3 what is where my music is stored on (debian server)

ps I found a post regarding this problem but it doesn help me I need some more info / help.

I run Jaikoz on Ubuntu and usually install it into /opt/jaikoz

Also, when running the installer you will need to use sudo:

you@localhost> sudo ./jaikoz-install.sh

The icon will be on the Applications menu under Sound & Video. You can drag it to the desktop if you wish. If you don’t see it there open the Main Menu program and make sure it is selected.
