None of my tags have the () characters around the artist names, yet when I run autocorrect thats what it comes up with.
Where can I edit this so its just the artist name?
e.g. I want: U2, not (U2)
Thanks.

Is it doing this for all artist names or just some, it should n’t add brackets it may be worth resetting your preferences by deleting your settings.jai file and restarting Jaikoz.
I have about 90 to 95% of my artist names already tagged. When I select the few that are not and run the autocorrect they have all (tested on 100 or so) come out with the ()s around the name.
Here is a thought. Filename-wise, they do have ()s. Is it possibly grabbing the name from the filename and keeping those characters? I will test - I didn’t think it would try that but I don’t really know what the autocorrect is doing and in what steps.
It seems that is what was happening. For now I moved the correct tag from filename to the bottom of the correction list and that fixed it. I also tried adding the () characters around the %artist% portion of the filename correct tab but that didn’t help.
At least I understand more the order of the autocorrect operation.
Its a good program. I’m impressed. Only problem I have are places like my 80s collection folder where they aren’t complete albums so most are tagged with “best of” CDs rather than the originals.
