How to delete lyrics

I am using Exaile and having lyrics in the same directory as the songs causes exaile to use an inordinate amount of memory.
I’d like to know how to clear out the lyrics.

Lyrics aren’t stored in the directory but in the songs themselves, you can display the lyrics column, then right click on the column header and select 'Empty Column to clear it out.

Also remove Lyrics Correct from Preferences/Manipulators/Autocorrect if you do not want Jaikoz to try and find any lyrics

I don’t get it, you just want to delete files?

No, not the file themself. Only some bytes of the file, which represents the lyric in the file and these bytes are shown in the column “Lyrics” of the Edit-window of Jaikoz.
