How to delete a MP3 file while editing?

I must be stupid or something, but after figuring out most of the more complicated things I needed to, I can’t seem to find a way to just flat out delete an audio file? Basically, I’d like to autocorrect, do some manual tweaking, remove dupes, but there still may be a file or two I just want to get rid of. Is there a way to do that inside the app? You might wonder why, but I’m going through a really huge (500 gigs) library for the first time, and much of it is old, not tagged well, and there’s just some crap I want to purge, and it’d be easier to do that right while I’m in there fixing things.

(BTW, I’m still evaluating whether this app and others (or a combo of multiple apps) is going to get me what I need, if it works out, I’ll purchase for sure, so thanks for your efforts!)

Mark a file for deletion by selecting a field in the file in the main window, bring up the popmenu and select Delete Files, the status of the file will now be marked as D for delete.

The file will actually be deleted when you select ‘Save Changes’

Sorry for being such a dunce, but how do I bring up the “pop up” window?

For the record, I’m fairly technically savvy, and I’ve looked in the help files on and offline, but still can’t figure this out, not even after your comment above – doh!

Ah, you mean go to the Action Menu > Delete Files?

If so, when I do that, it marks EVERYTHING as “D”, I only want to mark one file as D. And it does that no matter what is selected?

Never mind, I got it. Either right-click a row and choose delete files or use CTRL-ALT-DEL. If you pick it from the main menu, it marks everything for delete I guess.

Yeah, BTW you can select multiple files and then right-click to delete all the selected files.

Delete from the Main Menu deletes everything listed in the main window, but this ISNT all the files you have loaded because you can filter rows using the tag browser and filter menu, its just the file sin the main window. So this makes it easy to delete some files without having to select them first.
