how does genpuid work?

Curious why a tagging job hadn’t finished yet (t wasn’t that big only about 2K files) and noticing my CPU utilization wasn’t very large at all (normally there are 4 genpuid threads and utilization goes pretty high), I looked in console and am getting tons of this message:

So the acoustic ID does a lookup in MusicDNS servers? To what end?

Does this mean I need to go back and rerun the process?

Edit: oh and Paul this is not with the new beta. This is 2.9x

Sounds like the MusicIP Servers were down but they are up now.

EDIT:Appears that MusicIP is under strain at the moment and sometimes it is not returning a result, but because is returning something rather than failing to connect at all Jaikoz is not retrying. This may just be a temporary problem but I’ll beef up the retry mechanism. But in the meantime you need to run Retrieve Acoustic a couple of times to match the songs that were not matched the first time.

It appears that MusicIP used to report this error on the outputstream , it now correctly reports its on the errorStream but I wasnt’t aware of this change. Ive fixed Jaikoz beta, and their will be a beta 2 out later today
