How do you properly embed ISRC?

I tried to embed my ISRC (I was just practicing at the time) into my mp3 file. All I had to do was right click on the mp3 file & go to “properties” and I could just delete the ISRC number. Obviously I was doing something wrong…

I also loaded a couple of mp3 files that I downloaded legally from Amazon.com. These were both #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Neither song had an ISRC number when I loaded them in Jaikoz. How is that possible? Are they not being accounted for when people purchase the digital download?

ISRC’s are just metadata like anything else, not aware they can actually be embedded in an mp3.

Im not aware that Amazon embed this information in the files you download, they do not need to they can just keep a record of who/how many times a files has been downloaded internally on their servers.
