Last week (8 days ago) I made some minor corrections to a release on Musicbrainz. Simple capitalization changes. It was automatically applied. It appears correct when I visit Musicbrainz website. But when I try to tag my files with Jaikoz, I get the old data. I tried Advanced > Empty Cache in Jaikoz with no effect. Is the data cached someplace else? Some setting I may have broken?

Yes, Jaikoz now uses its own copy of MusicBrainz database optimized for greatly improved speed and reliability. But it does mean there is a delay between changes in MusicBrainz making there way into the Jaikoz database.

New data is available from Discogs only every month, MusicBrainz is available every few days but currently we only update every month for both. But plan to update from Musicbrainz weekly once Ive finished some additional development tasks on the Jthink music server
