Folder and sub folder problem

Hello everyone

I have started to re rip my cd collection in flac and I have done about 400 for now. The issue that I have is the folder architecture between the music files that I already have on my hard drive and the new ones that Iv just rip.
I work with dbPowerAmp to rip my CD and the naming path is set to:

Album Artists\Album\TrackNUm Artist - Title

So this give me for all the cds that I have ripped:

in my Music folder, Iv got the first folder: Group or Artist Name
Muddy Waters (ex)
in that folder I have the Album name: sub folder
Hard Again
King Bee
in the album name folder I have : the music files
01 Muddy Waters - I’m A King Bee (ex)

On my Hard Drive: These are the files that I have past in SongKong

AlbumArtitsorArtist|Album|Artist - Album - Track - Title

In my music folder ( SongKong ) first folder : Group or Artist WITH Album title
Sade - Lovers Live
in that folder I have the music files:
Sade - Lovers Live - 01 - Cherish The Day.

The problem as you can see for me, is that the folder architecture are not the same. I have try to past some of the music folder that came from my ripping with dbPowerAmp in SongKOng but the folder structure stayed the same.

And the files name to: 01 Muddy Waters - I’m A King Bee…

it doesn’t go to: Muddy Waters - King Bee - 01 - I’m A King Bee

And the folder stay the same…

Other weird thing for the duplicata

Iv done some test:

Iv put in the same folder some folder with cd rip in mp3 that I put in SongKong for acusticid and in the same folder I have put the same CDS in Flac that I have past in Songkong still with Acousticid.
I have put the filter sound only
Sound and musicBrainz
MusicBrainz ect

No Duplicata as a result…I understand the file are not the same because of my situation but ??? IT should find the duplicata

Tank you in advance if you can help me

Hi, set Filenaming:Rename mask to AlbumArtistorArtist/Album/Track Artist - Title and this should give the result you want.

To investigate the Delete Duplicates problem I would need to you to retry and then immediately after run Create Support Files

Hello Paul

so I’ve try to past my file from the ripped cd thru Song Kong with

AlbumArtistorArtist/Album/Track Artist - Title

Nothing move in the file and I make sure that Aperu was uncheck

Let’s say that I would try the other way around, so that the final structure would be

Artist folder
albums folder
Music Files.

It doesn’t really Mather to me the order file name itself is, I just wish to have one single folder for the same artist.

Sorry again, it is difficult for me to express myself in English. can be some confusion.

for the duplicate situation, I’M going to have to upload SongKOng in English to do the test.
Anyway their is a link to my result in french for now.
That test work better but I have 16 track’s in each folder for a total of 32

But after two test: 31 track in total

This time it did find 15 duplicate.
file:///C:/Users/Jean-Philippe/AppData/Roaming/SongKong/Reports/SupprimerLesDoublonsRapport00224/SupprimerLesDoublonsRapport00224.html

I will do more tests next week.

I’ll come back on the duplicate.

thank you for your help.

For the folder structure any advice on that would be great.

have a nice day

Hi, please run Create Support Files so I can see your settings/logs etc.
