according to http://www.jthink.net/jaudiotagger/tagmapping.html
the vorbis comment for the Original Release Date is be named ORIGINALDATE.
This is the name my media renderer expects (and also the way picard handle this).
But when i check with “metaflac --export-tags-to=- [file]” the entry is named “ORIGINAL YEAR” (no underscore).
Am I missing something in the preferences or is this a bug?

Right, it is an error in that webpage, I think because I must have updated from a different document that shows the differences between Picard and Jaikoz.
There are actually two bugs in says
ORIGINALDATE (ORIGINAL_YEAR)
taken from the original document meaning
Picard=ORIGINALDATE
Jaikoz=ORIGINAL_YEAR
but actually Jaikoz (and SongKong) both use ORIGINAL YEAR (no underscore as you say)
This gives compatibility with Media Monkey and was added before it was added to Picard, but if your media renderer uses as well should at least give option to change. I’ve raised http://jthink.net:8081/browse/JAIKOZ-846 but could you tell me what your media renderer is ?
