I have most of my iTunes library in subfolders “/artist/album/song”. I have a bunch of songs that don’t follow that naming convention such as "/[rolling stones}/bunch of songs. So besides renaming, I need to rename the artist name folder (remove the brackets) create sub folders by album and put the renamed song in it. Is this possible? I purchased just the standard license.
Fixing iTunes library folders question
SongKong can replace both the subfolder and filename part of the mask, so Im unclear here is the metadat wrong or do you just need to update folde from current metadata.
My problem is the folder name isn’t changing. The song and metadata are changed but the folder remains the original name.
Easiest if you could just run Help:Create Support Files then I can clearly see your configuration.
I went to Help -> Create Support Files. Does it automatically upload them to you?
Yes I have them, but I need more info from you, i.e you seem to be running Songkong on one folder at a time so give me a specific folder you have run SongKong on where it hasnt updated the folder name.
I can see in Report 12 you ran against /Volumes/Data/iTunes Music/Music/Andreas Vollenweider/Book of Roses and that seemed to have worked
Report 13 was run against a Various Artists album, iTunes does funny things with compilations so maybe the issue is related to that.
Reports 14, 15 were run in Preview mode so no changes would be made
