Filtering Live Music

Hey Paul,

First off, awesome program. Thanks a lot, I’ve had mis-tagged music for years and Jaikoz finally helps me solve all the world’s problems.

Here’s the deal, I’m not a fan of much Live music ( I like it when I’m there, but I hate the recordings ) Is there any way to tag files or filenames with say something like, “LIVE”, in order for me to easier recognize it?

I apologize if it’s a silly question, but I was reading the help and overly confused myself!

Thanks in advance!

How does Jaikoz know if it live, it is only using the data provided by musicbrainz. Some albums indicate ‘Live’ in the title, but certainly not all of them , bootlegs correctly tagged by Musicbrainz will have a Release Status of ‘Bootleg’, this should help.

You could certainly enter ‘LIVE’ into a particular column field that you are not using for anything else, and you could use the Find All function to try and identify these tracks , but there isnt a reliable way for Jaikoz to do this for you.

MusicBrainz does offer “Release Type”, where categories include Album, EP, Single, Compilation, Live, Soundtrack, Bootleg, etc.
