Filter by "Original" Values and additional fields

It would be nice to be able to use the “original” values for the filtering like you can use the “corrected” values now. This would be handy for when you are reviewing the corrections, for instance, going through by original album title would allow you to see very quickly that some of the “corrected” values aren’t correct if a track or two jumps to another album. Now you pretty much have to count the tracks in the “new” album and make sure that 1 or 2 aren’t missing. It would also make it much easier to highlight the tracks and then either do auto-correct or match to one release on just them.

I’m not sure of what you can do with your UI, but perhaps a right-click on the filter title could allow you to change from one to the other quickly.

It would also be nice to be able to filter on additional fields, as well.

My tagging needs are quite simple–just find either/or Name, Artist. I have about 3,000 tunes that are missing one or the other tag.

My success rate is about 10% to 20%–I don’t understand why more tunes are not corrected. BTW, does the existence or accuracy of existing tags have any effect on identification accuracy?

My “filter” wish is sort and color-code all tunes which have either Name and/or Artist corrected since last run. I’m guessing this might be sort by color?

Please email me your support files (advanced/Create Support Files) then I can look into this further.

You can sort by song status (i.e song edited, deleted, unchanged) but I guess that’s not quite what you want.

I am sending my support files–out of 581 files, it appears that there are no matches for 544 files.

With only 2 columns, Name and Artist, I still don’t see any way to ‘sort’ out the handful of files which were re-tagged.

Had a look at your logs and as you say you only have about a 10% match rate. Not quite sure why this is but have you changed any of the matching preferences, could you try running Retrieve AcousticIds before matching from Musixbrainz and see if that improves things.

You could add the Status column, and sort by that so songs that have been modified can be listed at the top. You could also use the filter to filter songs that have a Musicbrainz Id this will show all songs that have been matched to Musicbrainz.
