Feature request: unattended bulk processing

It would be awesome if Jaikoz had a bulk batch process that it could use. Essentially, point the program at a directory, tick off the steps you want it to execute against and run through each relevant file in that directory.

Right now I’m trying to run well over 50k songs through this program. Since it seems I can’t load more than 2k and get reliable results it’s a rather time consuming process. Since each step has to be executed manually, it takes that much longer.

However, it would be damned handy if I could fire it up, point it at the files and go to work and have it run against those files while I’m at work.

I fully agree.

(maybe with the option to have all those mp3 shown when I come back from work for wich jaikoz wasn’t sure how to tag them correctly.)

Yes I think this has been agreed in

will probably be in next release

I did see that thread but didn’t think that one was talking about the same thing I was.

To be clear, I’m talking about a real one button solution that, in my dream world, would work like this:

  1. Click ‘bulk process’
  2. give the directory of the locaiton of the files (not unnecessarily loading the files at this time)
  3. check boxes for the steps I want the bulk process to do (autocorrect locally, find IDs, autocorrect Music Brainz, find images)
  4. hit ‘Do it’ button

These steps would result in the program, loading each file in the directory one at a time (or in groups so as not to overwhelm the machine) automatically and executing the tasks checked and saving the results.

If it also coughed up a meaningful report on which files it failed to be able to process, that would be a bonus.
