failing to fix songs

Ok what am i doing wrong …

I have songs that just cant be auto corrected ??? Most of what i own are all main stream songs nothing weird or new … I run the auto correct and it seams to fix most of my songs (IE find the artisti, Album etc)… But some of them it just wont fix … but if i play it and use soundhound on my iPhone it resolves it straight away … is their Acoustic ID system better then this one … i am confused … my free app does a better job then this one i have spent $45 dollars on… please help

Soundhound and Jaikoz use different databases so songs that can be found may not be in the other and vice versa, but without specific details it is hard to say. You say your free app is doing better but of course you haven’t tested whether Soundhound would have found all the songs that Jaikoz did find.

Also not note Soundhound may find the song but does’t do release based matching, and only puts the most basic information into your songs.

Try running Manual Correct from Musicbrainz, this finds matches but let you select whether you want to accept them or not. It maybe that Jaikoz has found a good match but for some reason isn’t confident enough to apply the match automatically.

Sorry wasnt blaming Jaikoz, I was blaming me for not know how to better use the program…
It did a brilliant job of going through my 6000+ songs and fixing them up, I tried may other programs before Jaikoz, that didn’t do as good job…
Out of the 6000+ song only 190 couldnt be identified, so that a pretty good result. Soundhound would have taken me for ever to run each song one at a time then update the data … I was more interested on what I was doing wrong and if there was more then one Acoustic ID system out there and if the program has the ability to use more then one database to help identify the song … I try the manual correction and see if that helps me.

Okay, well Jaikoz uses Musicbrainz with Acoustid and Discogs. But the Discogs matching is only metadata matching and only matches per album rather than individual songs.

Acoustid is only a year old, but its database is rapidly expanding so results should improve as time goes by.
