Examples for File and Folder Correct

I was hoping for it to show examples of what it was going to look like with the finished rename mask. This way you can see if you would have the results your after. For me the way i organize my music is Artist - Album as a folder and inside the folder track number - title. I keep trying to do this but I’m getting the rename from tags as a folder instead of it renaming the files from inside the folder.

Example for my rename from tags
%trackno% - %title%
#00 - Title

Example for my rename folder from tags
%artist% - %album%%folderseperator%%trackno% - %title%
Artist - Album\#00 - Title

If I understand you correctly, what I feel you want is :

On the Rename Folder from Tags tab, your rename mask should be :

%artist% - %album%

And that’s it. That’s what it is going to set the subfolder to. if you have a base folder of \Music\ (or something similar) then you will get a folder in there named the way you want.

As for the files themselves :

On the Rename File from Tags tab :

the Rename mask should be :

%trackno% - %title%

If that is not what you are getting, with the above masks, then provide an example of what you end up seeing.

As far as your wish list request, Jaikoz changes the field(s) and lets you see them before you commit. Make sure you have the option on the Table preference on the Synchronisation tab set to “Highlight changes in a different color”. On the display tab, you can set the color of the changed fields. I also personally don’t like the default color and have mine set to a bright orange (but each to his own)

I personally have taken out of my autocorrector the “save files” task so that I may review the changes first before committing.
