Hallo zusammen …liebe Community!!! Ich bin neu angemeldet und durch Zufall auf dieses Tool (Tagger) oder wie auch immer gestossen. Meine Fragen wären da das Programm nur auf englisch im Netz erklärt wird sehr viel! Ich habe mir schon sehr viele verschiedene Musik Tagger und auch Sortierprogramme gekauft! Darum meine Frage da das ein oder andere Tool (Programm) zu viel bzw. nicht unbedingt von mir gebraucht wird (Wurde)! Und zwar suche ich schon eigentlich seit Jahren nach einem automatischen Programm das mir automatisch sämtliche Metadaten meiner MP3-Dateien meiner Musiklibrary unter anderem von itunes komplettieren könnte bzw. würde! Darauf hin bin ich immer wieder auf neue Programme gestossen die ich mir dann auch teilweise gekauft hatte aber irgendwie trotzdem nicht immer so ganz zufrieden gewesen bin. Ich war bis vor nicht ganz so langer Zeit mobiler DJ musste aber aus gesundheitlichen Gründen leider aufhören! Dadurch hat sich bei mir über den Jahren (so ca. 40 ) eine grosse Menge an Musikdateien angesammelt. Ich habe meine Musik überwiegend nach Genre organisiert und Jahrgängen. Ich habe natürlich die bekanntesten Musik bzw. MP3 Tagger Progs benutzt aber wie schon geschrieben haben sie mich bei den Veröffentlichungs Jahrgängen bzw. dem Genres (Subgenres) doch überwiegend verlassen. Darum nun meine Frage ob dieses Programm mir helfen kann und wenn ja gäbe es auch eine Anleitung wie man (ich) dann das Programm für sagen wir mal eine Standard-Taggung einstellt? Also sprich: Album-Artist-Titel-Jahr-Genre z. B. die Tracknummern wären mir dabei gar nicht unbedingt so wichtig! Wäre das mit SongKong machbar? Ich glaube das reicht erst mal zum lesen

So…first of all, thank you very much for the quick information…I simply want the correct genre or release date (the year is sufficient) to be automatically written into the metadata of my MP3 tags. Select Music folder then Fix Songs
Select Start
On Basic tab enable Update Genres
On Format tab add everything except Year and Genre to Never modify these fields
On Album Format tab enable Use year instead of full dates for Date fields
Select Start
At the end report is created whereby you can check results

In order to add something to the genre field the album needs to match a Discogs album, and the genre provided by Discogs needs to be in the list of allowed genres found in the Preferences:Genre file. There is no need to run one album at a time, a better test it to run over a chunk of your collection and see what results you get.
But you may have done something wrong, if you run Create Support Files I can take a look at your report for you and check.

Hello! I have a question regarding iTunes libraries. If I were to scan my iTunes library, which contains hundreds of thousands of MP3 files, how would SongKong affect my ratings, playlists, etc.? Would I risk my iTunes library and playlists becoming messed up afterward, especially if I were to integrate the library into my DJ software?

It would not affect playlist as long as you did not rename files, if you renamed files then it would.
Playcounts are stored within iTunes database so are only visible withih iTunes
Another thing to be aware of is your iTunes controlled files in the iTunes Music folder location or somewhere else, if somewhere else sometimes iTunes makes a copy of the file and then uses that from thenon instead so you might want to check that.
Personally I would reccomend moving away from iTunes, its very outdated.
