Error when trying to add new release to MusicBrainz, has ISRC...

Hi,

I tried to add a single of mine to the musicbrainz thing, but I’m getting an error message saying I need an “argument PUID” OR an ISRC. The thing is, I HAVE an ISRC, so I don’t understand why it would give me an error saying I need one.

I’ve looked up this MusicIP ID stuff, and didn’t come up with much. I thought the whole point here was to be able to update the database with Jaikoz. Do I have to enter the metadata into MusicBrainz AND Jaikoz? It took a while to get all the details in, and now it’s not letting me update the database…

Yeah in the current version of Muiscbrainz there is no way to add a completely new release to it except for entering it manually on the http://www.musicbrainz.org website, all you can do from Jaikoz is add additional data to an release already in Musicbrainz such as ISRC’s or PUIDs from the Amplifind db once you have matched your sonmgs to a release in Musicbrainz.

So in your case the sensible thing to do might be to add it to Musicbranz website then uses Jaikoz Correct from Musicbrainz feature to fill n your song data from Musicbrainz.

in the next release of Musicbrainz/Jaikoz due on 16th May you CAN add a new release into Musicbrainz from Jaikoz, which I think is what you really want.
