Problem:
Lots of albums, all correctly renamed - but the Track Total column is not populated
Current work method:
I select the tracks of an album and fill in the track total for the album by hand
There must be a much easier way to do this for the 1000+ albums that I would like to have the Track Total filled in for…?
I’ve also had to manually fill in track totals… Not sure if it’s even taken into consideration in foobar2000, but completeness is something I strive for, and easier way to do this should be easy enough
Maybe select all fields of an album (say by track numbers 80 to 90), and generate/fill for empty cells?
There is already a request to allow just updating selected fields, but in the meantime you can do this a slightly more awkward way by going to Preferences:Musicbrainz:AutoFormat & AutoFormat 2 and changing the values of all fields to Never Alter (or possibly Replace if Empty) except for Track Total, then enable Preferences:Musicbrainz:AutoMatch:Do Not Update from Discogs when Matching.
Then run Remote Correct/Update Metadata from Existing Musicbrainz Id for all Ids on all your songs.
