Do we have any Naim UnitServe Users ?
In our SongKogn for Melco release we have added functionality to allow Rovi metadata added by Naim UniteServe to be embedded into Wav files, would love to get some feedback both on this any other problems with UnitiServe metadata or indeed the newer UnitiCore Server.
I have a Naim Uniti Core since about 2017, and I ripped all my cd’s in wav.
Later I bought SongKong so that I could see artwork for my FiiO player in the car. The program worked great and all the music artwork shows in all my devises except for the Uniti Serve (which I bought for extra functionality and cd replay). When I plug a usb hard drive into the Serve only a small percentage of the artwork shows up. Any thoughts on why this is happening would be most appreciated. Thank you.
Hi, I think with the Unitiserve the artwork would have to be referenced within the Unitiserve properietry metadata files that it generates for Wav ( amginfo.xml). Of course the Naim Import Metadata tool within SongKong works the other way letting the metadata within those proprietry files go into your files.
But it may be that Unitiserve recognizes the files if they are stored as a folder.jpg within the album folder so you could check that and when using SongKong ensure that Save front cover art to filesystem is allowing the artwork to be saved in folder ( as well as the default of writing to the music files)
I would start by comparing two folders with artwork, one that displays and one that doesnt and determine the difference,
