Hi there!
First of all Jaikoz is a great piece of software - saved me a lot of time so far.
I have one problem which I couldn’t solve…
I buy quite a lot of music at Beatport (mainly electronic music). They do not offer a lossless format that supports metatags, so I have to download wav files.
I convert all wav files to flac before I load them into Jaikoz.
Beatport has a tool called beatport downloader which offers an option to set the format how the files are named. This gives me the ability at least to set Interpret and song title by using the correct metadata by filename option.
After that I run a full Autocorrection on all files. And here comes the issue. Out of 40 songs maybe 2 or 3 are identified. Since it is electronic music that is not popular I don’t expect to get any data from MusicIP or Musicbrainz, however 95% of these songs can be found at Discogs.
So what I have to do is to open the Discogs webpage, enter the song and interpret in the search field and copy the Discogs link of the result manually to the Discogs album URL field. As you can think a time consuming task. After that I run update metadata from Discogs and all files are tagged properly incl. Coverart etc.
Is there any way to get this done fully automated?
Thanks, Christian.
