Designate image file name to use when adding art to file

Now that image files are moved with the music files when restructuring your folders, I can imagine being able to set the name of the image file that Jaikoz uses for the cover art for an album.

Say you have 3 or 4 or more images in an album folder, rather than storing all those images with each and every song file, you could designate which file name to look for when adding art to the file. Only the matching jpg would be stored with the song file, and the others would just move along with the folder when restructuring.

Well Jaikoz always adds artwork to the audio itself, this is much more flexible and robust then keeping the artwork separate.

If you have artwork in local files you want to associate with the songs themselves I would use Local Artwork Correct to get those files into the mp3s themselves. Then you see within Jaikoz which files don’t have artwork and retrieve this artwork from Musicbrainz / Disocgs or wherever.

If you actually need the artwork as jpg files you can always use File/Save Artwork to Filesystem to extract the artwork back out of the mp3 as jpg files.

I already do use Local Artwork Correct to place the main cover art into the mp3 file, but I tend to limit the size of this image file to 500x500 (100 kb) in order to keep the size of the files down, since I have a very large music library.

The only images I drag along with the albums inside of a separate folder are high resolution scans. Personally, I don’t like the idea of adding all these larger image files to each and every mp3. Sure hard drive space gets cheaper and cheaper, but I guess everyone has to draw the line somewhere.
