Deleting duplicates

My apologies if this has been covered. I understand how to configure the duplicate options. The duplicates are being found, but my issue is with determining which ones to delete. I would prefer to be able to set a critera like “select duplicates with lowest bitrates first” or something like that.
I’ve just found the dual screen view to be able to see the data columns and audio columns, but it’s not really helping me.

Is this a feature? or does someone have a document for the process that I need to use? I’ve got like 280GB of music to sort through…

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Andy

You cannot choose which songs are deleted and which is kept using the Delete Duplicates action, however it will always delete lossy over lossless, lower bitrate over higher bitrate automatically ectera.

If Jaikoz is not picking the songs you want you could instead use the one of the filters such as Filter:Filter Duplicate Mb and AcoustIds to show songs that are duplicates, then mark the ones you want to Edit/Delete yourself, then Files/Save Changes will actually delete those files.
