Before I try to do this, how does the program decide “which” duplicate to delete? If I had a column that showed me bit rate (and maybe I’m just totally overlooking it), I would probably just show the duplicates and manually delete the lower bit rate if that’s the main difference, etc., but I don’t want to just let the program delete unless I know what the deletion choice is based on.

If files are the same audio format the delete duplicates action deletes the file with the lowest bitrate, or if they are the same deletes either one.
If you want to do this yourself can see the bitrate column by selecting View/Show View Pane and selecting the Audio Tab, this shos all the audio information about your files. This isnt displayed on the ecit tab because it cannot be modified.
