Date format (XXXX-01-01)

Jaikoz 5.x now corrects all dates to a yyyy-mm-dd format, which I prefer, but when only the year is available it always uses January 1st. So 2002 will change to 2002-01-01.

Is there a way to turn this off?

This a probably a ID3v23 MP3 problem.

Whether we use a full date or not depends on what date is held in MusicBrainz, you can elect to store only year but there is not an option to only store year/month (so just created http://jthink.net:8081/browse/JAIKOZ-602)

If you are saving your files in the v23 format then the date is actually stored in two fields

TYER - Store years
TDAT - Store month/day

unfortunately there is no way to only store month without day, so even if Jaikoz shows the field as simply 2012-12 when you reload an ID3v23 file into Jaikoz it will show as 2012-12-01, you could get round this by saving as ID3v24

Is there a way to keep just the year if there is no month or day is provided? Why is TDAT defaulting to 01-01s? I would rather have either YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD.

The Preferences:Local Correct:Year Correct:What should the Year contain field can be set to Store Year so that when you run Action/Local Correct:Year Correct all year fields are converted to year.

Actually I think this bug http://jthink.net:8081/browse/JAIKOZ-585 which I’ve fixed here but is not available until the next release is probably confusing the issue a bit.

Now fixed in Jaikoz 5.2.0

I utilize Jaikoz to draw the class from Discogs style and generally its extraordinary. However as there is no approval at Discogs, I can wind up with a few varieties of what I see as the same classification over my accumulation. E.g. Option Rock, Alt.rock, Alternative, Alt-Rock and so on where I would be content with “Option Rock” for these.

I can perceive how to boycott classifications, yet is there any approach to compel utilization of what I need kinda like a host document thought? I.e. on the off chance that Jaikoz gets any of the past cases it will include “Option Rock” to the class field.

Expressions of remorse if this is now conceivable.

It is possible in http://jthink.net/songkong see http://jthink.net/songkong/help/help.html#d5e216 but not yet in Jaikoz, however it is planned in Jaikoz as well http://jthink.net:8081/browse/JAIKOZ-512
