custom tag as a TXXX frame in an ID3 tag in an MP3 file

Is it possible to add a custom tag as a TXXX frame in an ID3 tag in an MP3 file?

I am adding “Quality” information to my files. It works for FLAC and ALAC but I am having problems with mp3’s. Some mp3’s (very few) seem to work.

For mp3s the Quality tag is mapped to a COMM frame with description Songs-DB_Preference. This is how it is mapped in Media Monkey which is the only existing mapping I could find for Quality.

There isn’t a way to create custom TXXX frames in Jaikoz.

I’m unclear what you mean by it only works sometimes
