another thing which came up was, that i was trying to update Tags through MB using IDs.
So I looked up the correct release ID for the Album, but Jaikoz did not do anything.
I don’t know, but using the release id one should be able to get the right artist etc. Maybe you should consider using the release id as well for updating the Tags

Sorry , missed this.
If you enter the MB Release Id and do nott have a MB Unique Id for a song and the run ‘Update tags from Musicbrainz Id’ it will use the Release Id and track length to try and match the song to a that release, and subsequently update the related fields.
But it doesn’t work 100% , it wont usually work if the track lengths have not been entered into Musicbrainz and please check you are running ‘Update tags from Musicbrainz Id’ NOT ‘Correct tags from metadata’
