Hi Paul,
More than a problem, this is some kind of minor request:
As you probably know, user configurations, preferences, caches and the like are normally stored in a “dot-folder” under the home directory, but jaikoz stores it in my home directory. Is there any way to change this? I like to keep my home directory clean, so I would like Jaikoz to store its stuff into $HOME/.jaikoz instead of $HOME/Jaikoz. Is it possible?
Thanks.
Config and preferences folder in Linux?
Yes this has been requested before and needs to be changed, but I was just cautious about changing it because of the difficulties it might cause when updating from a version of Jaikoz using the old location to a version using the new location.
But I think I’ll have to bite the bullet.
It’s nice to hear you are considering this, Paul. I’ll be eager to test it.
I’d appreciate this as well!
