Compatibility with other tagging software

I am currently testing some tagging programs:

Tag&Rename - the on I used first and I’m familiar with (the one most of my library is taged with)
MP3Tag - powerful scripting engine
Foobar - replay gain
Jaikoz - GenPUID and MusicBrainz; also very good for manual editing and finding bugs in a large library

The Problem for me are the slight differences each tagging program has when it writes or show’s the tags.

For Example:
Tag&Rename writes COMPILATION=1 and shows a title not as a compilation if it reads COMPILATION= true. Jaikoz writes COMPILATION=true and shows a title not as a compilation if it reads COMPILATION=1.

Jaikoz writes “MusicIP ID” (case sensitive) on mp3 files and ignores “MUSICIP ID” which I get when I make any changes in MP3Tag.

I dont know if there is a good reason why Jaikoz don’t accept “MUSICIP ID” or “COMPILATION=1”.
If there is none working would be easier if the programs are a little bit more lenient.

Best Regards
Werner

Hi, for Musicbrainz stuff Jaikoz uses the same tags as Picard (which is written by Musicbrainz developers) which is the defacto standard for these tags. So MP3Tag is incorrect wrong really, but I am always keen for Jaikoz to work with other tags as much as possible so I wil add support for reading these MP3tags.
