Combining Multiple Fields into one

I use Media Monkey as my primary media library manager. It has limitations in that it does not read all of the ID tags I want to use. I use Jaikoz to create my custom fields that media monkey does read.

What I am looking for is there a way that I can automate the copying of one filed to another. IE Total disc to custom1.

And

Combined two different fields into one. IE release status and type to custom2. (“Official” and “Album” into “Official Album”)

I currently Export the list into excel and modify it that way and then re-import the changes or if I’m working with a small batch I just copy and paste. However I want Load my Entire Catalog and make these changes. Almost (25000 files).

Yes, pretty much

  1. Make sure Disc Total and Custom 1 fields are both visible in the main display, and order them so that Custom 1 column is the the column to the right of Disc Total
  2. Right click on Custom 1 column header and select Empty Column
  3. Select all rows in both columns
  4. Select Edit/Append to Right will add the value from the left column (Disc no) to the corresponding field on the right column (Custom 1)

Yes, very similar, repeat above for Release Status and Custom 2, then repeat for Release Tyoe and Custom 2 (but dont do empty column or you’ll remove the release status values you jsut added)
