Can't remove TSIZ tags from the Unknown List

I have a large mp3 library, amassed from various sources over the past 15 years or so and Jaikoz has been great for tidying up the tags, particularly the “Not Supported” and “Unknown List” tags that other tag editors don’t seem to find.

However I have about 30 files with a TSIZ tag that shows up in the Unknown List column. I can delete these and save them - it appears to work, but if I then reload the files back into Jaikoz the TSIZ tags are still there

Is there a way to successfully and permanently remove these pesky TSIZ tags?

Cheers!

I don’t know, you could try setting version to ID3v24 or ID3v23 and Save (the opposite to what it currently is) see if that solves it, if not please email a file to support@jthink.net

I tried that and it worked - but just realised that there are about 500 files with stuck TSIZ tags, not 30 as I first thought, so it’s not a very practical option to do them one by one. Is there a way to bulk change the ID3 version?

You can copy and paste the version field.
But even better -

  • Close all files
  • Modify the value of Preferences:Save:ID3 V2 Tag Save
  • Load Files
Version field will automatically be changed
So now you can just Save Changes
