I have made additions of albums to musicbrainz in the past (not using jaikoz), but have found it to be a very painful and work intensive process. And, when you think you are done, you get bombarded by emails every day to make further corrections.
Is there any way jaikoz/songking can make this less painful? If I could find a less painful solution I might be motivated to try to make further additions.
Jaikoz does have a solution Action: Remote Correct:Submit New Release will submit the listed/selected files as a new release to MusicBrainz website, it preloads the form and then you just have to check and submit it, its not possible to completely automate it.
I add quite a few albums to Musicbrainz via Jaikoz. It’s not easy, but it’s a great relief compared to manually entering an album in MusicBrainz. Despite all the help from Jaikoz, you still have to enter Status, Language, Script, Date, Country, Label, Cat.No, and Barcode. More difficult is it to select the exact singer/group if there are several with the same name.
And finally, you should not forget to run GuessCase for the title column on the track list website, because the capitalization of Jaikoz differs from that in MusicBrainz, at least in a few points
