Can Jaikoz create new folders?

Is there a way to input a large amount of random songs and have Jaikoz make artist and album folders and put corresponding files into them? I would prefer not to do this through iTunes.

Yes run Action/File and Folder Correct/Correct SubFolders from Tags and saving the files will do this.

When i do that it takes the music out of the main folder that it all is and organizes it in the folder before it, I want to open a folder in Jaikoz lets call it “Music Organized” and have Jaikoz reorganize everything into Artist/album folders but keep them in the “Music Organized” folder

EDIT: I don’t think it matters but i’m on a Mac

It doesn’t matter that you are on a mac as I am too.

What I do typically is have a working folder called Jaikoz Temp. Run Jaikoz. Make sure the subfolders are Artist/album like you desire. At this point, everything is corrected and good. Then I change the base folder from Jaikoz Temp to my Music Organized, then hit save and Jaikoz moves it.

Mine is actually a bit more complicated than that but that should get you what you want.

Yes, the key is to ensure your path is divided between BaseFolder and SubFolder, Jaikoz will only modify the path in SubFolder and leave BaseFolder well alone.

You can do this in a number of ways such as the ‘No of the Levels’ checkbox when you open a folder, or by using Shift Base to Sub Folder and Shift Sub to Base Folder actions within the Action/File and Folder Correct option.

Kinda confused as to what yall mean,

I wanna say “ok jaikoz go and organize my music into Artist/Album folders in the folder MUSIC ORGANIZED” However the music I am asking it to organize was loaded from a folder called MUSIC. Therefor I am asking it to put music into a different folder than the one I opened the music from.

Okay , so Album/Artist folders should be in the subfolder column and MUSIC should be in the Base Folder column.

  1. Running Rename Subfolder from tags will update the subfolder column with the correct names to match the tags.

  2. Then run ‘File/Save and Move’ and then just select the MUSICORGANISED folder (and make sure ‘Create SubFolders hierachy’ is selected) .

ok great thanks alot
